PRESENTATION

The educational program refers to the most important methods of the '900 and contemporary theater.

The experiences of the stage in the second and third years are numerous and in direct contact with the most professional contemporary reality. In addition to the core subjects, are planned:

  • internships and extracurricular workshops with internationally renowned Masters,
  • the second year, placements in productions alongside professional actors of Theater and Cinema.

1st YEAR

  • Technique of the Word

AIMS:

  • enable the students to learn the basics of theatrical methodology to translate a literary text in scenic one.
  • make students able to discover and explore their emotional and expressive potential within the theatrical action.
  • enable the personal and creative energies to conduct them in a unique project that will involve the entire Ensemble.
  • enable students to learn the basic principles of the actor's professional ethics intended as a group and an individual.

RESULTS:

  • know and apply the basic principles of the professional actor, or the basic principles of creating text scenic starting from literary texts, primarily through research and improvisation, then through running trim indicated by the author; upon completion of this point you must also know how to use their voice and body techniques in an appropriate manner;
  • have personal autonomy creative outside of theatrical cliches in order to discover their individuality stage, and having to its credit diligence and commitment with which the year the student proposes their employment initiatives in the classroom;
  • bringing out their creative individuality, however, know how to listen, observe, respect the work of their peers, in the unique project of work indicated by the teacher;
  • acquire, with the willingness to understand and contribute to the project by the group's global work, a solid discipline.

2nd YEAR

AIMS:

  • to extend and to deepen the analysis method of the play and the role of the action.
  • in order to recreate life intended as action on the stage in relation to dramaturgical or literary material proposed, enable the students to discover their own creative potential and know their individuality stage.
  • enable the student to help create and complete a project in a professional manner of play that involves an ensemble.
  • to apply the basic principles of professional ethics group and individual in the concrete work projects

RESULTS:

Develop and apply an in-depth methodological analysis offered by the program, in the delicate transition from the research and improvisation, to the performance of the fixed text of the author, under the given scenic project chosen by the teacher.

In particular:

  • being able to conduct into the fixed text the results achieved during the research, in a repeatable performance, especially conduct the energy and useful discoveries made during improvisation and during the etjud in live performances without making mechanical work , instead make it repeatable, but knowing reactivate every time, by listening to what happens on stage, the process of recreation of life in the scenic action .
  • definitely consolidating the technical means of the actor related to the body movement, articulation and diction.
  • put your own creative and technical work at the services of the group to complete the ensemble work with commitment and diligence.
  • know and practice experience, the rigor of the discipline of the individual work and of the group work.
  • learn and apply the basic principles of the professional ethics of the actor.
  • know how to develop their own critical thinking about the scenic work.

3rd YEAR

OBJECTIVES:

Apply an artistic, personal, creative and aware professional acting technique learned during the three years of training. In particular:

  • know how to express your own individuality scenic and demonstrate to possess a creative personal autonomy within a given stage project, in line with the study carried out in the ensemble and directed by the filmmaker.
  • consolidated control of technical means with possible involvement of other disciplines learned (such as musical theater, theater of movement and narrative theater, theater in English, etc.), in order to implement the given artistic project.
  • know and to manage relationships with the professionals of the director and other actors, as well as knowing how to interact professionally with all the professionals who work at the construction of the performing arts.
  • know and apply the professional ethics of the actor.

RESULTS:

The student actor will be able to apply all the techniques and skills learned in the three-year program in a creative way with regard to all stages of the preparation of a play live with a great artistic achievement. In particular:

  • utilize satisfactorily skills and technical knowledge, practical, theoretical, behavioral relating to the role of the actor of dramatic theater at the service of a personal artistic creative contribution to the construction of the performing arts.
  • knowing how to manage your own workload respecting the deadlines for testing and performance, within a period of intensive study, done in the manner of a stage that reproduces in a total and faithful the rehearsal period and staging of a professional show.
  • managing with professionalism firsthand working relationships with fellow actors, with the director and all the workers who work in the theater (technicians, set designers, costume designers, etc.), with use of appropriate languages and professional.

Professional Preparation

The three years acting course builds an actor intended to work professionally in the sector of the prosa theater, cinema, tv, radio, mounting at international level.

By the end of the triennium, students will be able to:

  • Know and being able to apply the fundamental principle of varied methodologies and interpretative techniques of research and improvisation inherent the professional actors of the prose theater with artistic and excellent technical capacity;
  • Know how to analyze the ideation process, test and development of the theatrical production, know the professional ethics of the actor inside and outside the stage and to have the capacity to work in ensemble under the director’s guide, in national and international field;
  • To have the capacity to work in different jobs contest. Also extra-territorial, having acquired a bilingual education and an international attitude at the productive's market;
  • To have the capacity to create independent theatricals production both from the artistic and organizational point of view, managing their own artistic contribution to the production itself.

QUALIFICATION RELEASED:

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Acting:

The students who complete the Eutheca Triennium program profitably, achieve, simultaneously both the Eutheca Diploma and the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Acting, title recognized and awarded by the University of Wales.

ADMISSIONS

  • Minimum entry age for this course is 18. There is no upper age limit.
  • There are no academic prerequisites for this course.
  • Applicants must be fluent English speakers.
  • Admission is by exam.

FEES AND DATES

  • FEES FOR 2016/2017
  • For EU students: €.12.000,00 per year
  • For Non-EU students: €.12.000,00 per year

NOTE:

  • Fees for each term must be paid in advance and no later than the date specified in the student’s offer letter. Any student who is in arrears with regard to his/her fees will not be able to progress with their training until all outstanding monies owed to EUTHECA are paid. Students who have not paid fees in full prior to completing their programme of study will have their degree withheld until such payments are made.
  • Students, in exceptional circumstances, intending to leave EUTHECA must give at least one full term's notice in writing of such intention to the Academic Office. Students will be liable for fees throughout the notice period (ex. if a student leaves halfway through the autumn term, they are liable for the remainder of the fees for that term and the full fees for the following spring term).
  • In the unlikely event that EUTHECA is compelled to close due to a force majeure, no fees can be returned nor compensation made for any period of tuition that may have been lost through the Academy’s inability to carry on its work as a result of circumstances beyond its control.
